National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Sydney Allied is proud to announce that it is a Registered Provider with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) as of July 2017.

The NDIS aims to support Australians under the age of 65 with permanent and significant disabilities. It seeks to provide the necessary support in order for participants to enjoy an ordinary life, and furthering the ability to achieve their goals, independence and an improved wellbeing.

What does this mean for Sydney Allied as an Official Provider for the NDIS?

NDIS participants require access to healthcare services similarly to everyone else. In certain circumstances, however, participants may require more complex healthcare needs associated with their disability. The NDIS thus funds support networks which aid in the ongoing functional impairments that may result from disability.

Sydney Allied will therefore be responsible for assisting participants with treatment of their health conditions. This will include diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of the participant's issues and concerns.

Community Allied Health

Here at Sydney Allied Health we also have our community service branch, named Community Allied Health. This branch primarily services the community via home visits and other out of clinic services. Our group is an excellent option for those in need because we provide a range of services that can improve the overall health and wellbeing of individuals within the community.

Our allied health professionals are able to work closely with patients to address a variety of health concerns, from physical therapy and exercise physiology to podiatry. These services are commonly provided in the comfort of a patient's own home or in community settings, making them more accessible and convenient. Additionally, our community allied health professionals often work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, such as doctors and nurses, to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care. Overall, community allied health can be a valuable resource for individuals seeking to improve their health and quality of life.
